Green Smoothie + Cashew Cream

What’s the best way to power up + kickstart your day? By providing fuel to your body when it needs it the most. Give your body the essential nutrients it needs in order to recharge and refuel as you step into a new day.

We love combining a green smoothie with cashew cream. Why? Because you’re getting a compete balance of nutrition. The green smoothie is packed full of vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants, polyphenols, water and ah yes, F-I-B-E-R. The cashew cream is your powerhouse add-in that provides protein and heart-healthy, unsaturated fat (the good fat) to deliver long-lasting sustainable energy.

Make your cashew cream ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator so you have it on hand whenever you want it. Here’s our favorite cashew cream recipe.

So that leads us to your green smoothie. Blendtopia ready-to-blend superfood smoothies are super quick and easy. No mess. No stress. And they of course provide high-density nutrition powered by organic fruits, veggies and superfoods. Or make your own by chopping, pre-portioning and freezing your favorite combos so you can just grab and blend!

You should always eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. About 4.5 hours after that, you should have lunch, and a couple hours after that, dinner. If you delay these times, you’re going to get hungry, and the hungrier you are, the more likely you are to cheat and eat the wrong foods or the wrong size portions.

According to Dr. Oz, the big rule of thumb is that you need to have dinner more than three hours before you go to bed so that you don’t hit the hay with a full belly of food that hasn’t been properly digested.
